QUIL COMICS – Here’s a special update just for you on this occasion, covering Dracule Mihawk. So, to make sure you don’t miss out on the information, check out the full update below!

For a long time, fans didn't even know how powerful Mihawk truly was. Mihawk has displayed extraordinary abilities since his fight with Zoro at Baratie, and then again at Marineford. However, on both occasions, it seemed like he still had many hidden abilities. So, let alone Haoshoku, we don't even know Mihawk's named techniques yet.

Does Dracule Mihawk Have Haoshoku Haki?

To date, Mihawk has never been shown clearly using or emitting Haoshoku Haki. What makes this issue even harder to determine is that Mihawk’s two major battles at Baratie and Marineford took place during a period when the concept of Haki and its visual representation had not yet been explained in as much detail as they are today.

According to the known information about Mihawk’s Vivre Card, he has also been confirmed to be a user of Busoshoku Haki and Kenbunshoku Haki, while Haoshoku was not listed at that time.

It turns out that Mihawk had actually given Zoro an explanation closely related to Haoshoku Haki while training him. Mihawk explained about the Supreme Kings, the one thing that never changes within them, and the concept of “true self.”

Interestingly, this explanation isn’t just a technical tutorial on how to use Haki. Instead, Mihawk explains the essence behind Haoshoku Haki. This doesn’t prove that Mihawk himself possesses Haoshoku Haki. After all, it’s possible to understand a ability without actually possessing it.

At the very least, however, that scene provides new evidence to support the theory that Mihawk may indeed have personal experience with Haoshoku. One example is his rivalry with Shanks.

Mihawk and Shanks were once involved in a famous sword duel in the past. Meanwhile, Shanks was later shown to be one of the most extraordinary users of Haoshoku Haki in the world. Shanks is even capable of using Haoshoku at a highly advanced level, including attacks like Kamusari, which demonstrates just how strong his mastery of Haki is.

Mihawk has not yet been shown using Haoshoku Haki, and the available information does not explicitly state that he is a user of it. However, there are several factors that keep this theory intriguing.

He is the greatest swordsman in the world, once had a legendary rivalry with Shanks, and most recently, Mihawk gave Zoro a very in-depth explanation of the nature of Haoshoku Haki.

For your information, Dracule Mihawk is known as the “Strongest Swordsman in the World,” but his character development isn’t driven by grand ambitions or dreams of changing the world.

Mihawk’s journey actually illustrates the evolution of a fighter who reached the pinnacle too quickly and then sought the meaning of life amid loneliness, rivalry, and major changes in the pirate world.

Mihawk once had a true rival in Shanks. Their duel is widely regarded as a legendary battle between the strongest swordsmen. However, when Shanks lost his arm, Mihawk put an end to their rivalry because he believed Shanks was no longer as strong as he used to be.
